Ian Kaye earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Oregon State University and is finishing up a Masters of Science in Teaching from Colorado State University Global. He has held a variety of mental health and education roles throughout his career and has extensive training with Collaborative Problem Solving and trauma-informed care. Formerly serving as one of their Residential Coaches, Ian Kaye is excited to once again be a part of the CCT community. In the time that he has been away from CCT, Ian has been teaching in the public school system here in Bend, Oregon.

Ian feels strongly that “people do well if they can” and believes that fostering relationships, skill building, and utilizing multi-tiered systems of support will benefit a person’s growth. While at CCT as one of their academic advisors he looks forward to working with students in a more individualized setting, supporting clients with their personal and academic development, and providing mentorship opportunities.

While he may be originally from Seattle, Washington, Ian has lived all around the world in places such as The Gambia, Peru, and throughout the United States. When he isn’t at work he can be found juggling, playing Pathfinder, catching frisbees in a game of Ultimate, or enjoying all the outdoor activities that Bend has to offer. As an enthusiastic, and novice boater, Ian has been fortunate enough to raft the Grand Canyon two times and hasn’t flipped a raft yet in the canyon. He hopes to bring this luck and sense of adventure to his new position at CCT!
