Ian McLane
LPC-Associate
Ian received a bachelor’s degree from Lewis & Clark College and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Oregon State University. He has worked in the field of mental health since 2013 in a variety of roles including substantial experience as a field instructor with a wilderness therapy program and various residential settings.
While in graduate school, Ian worked with Cascade Crest students in the Belay phase and got to experience the program from multiple perspectives. Ian brings humor, deep compassion, and radical acceptance to his work with clients. He operates from a holistic, strength-based perspective with a focus on self-compassion, mindfulness, and cognitive-based therapy. Ian works with his clients to identify personalized goals in the pursuit of a more unencumbered and joyful life filled with purpose and integrity. His studies included family systems work, trauma-informed care, and addiction-focused treatment.
When he’s not at CCT, Ian enjoys getting outside with his wife and two dogs, Charlie and Gypsy. He is an avid mountain biker and hiker who continues to deepen his knowledge of the wilderness around Bend. He also enjoys playing basketball and engaging in advocacy in Central Oregon.
