Wendy Andrick

For the past two decades, Wendy has worked with young people in a number of different therapeutic settings. Her studies began at Penn State University, but the mountains lured Wendy to head west where she completed her Bachelor of Social Work degree at the University of Montana. After graduation, Wendy began working as a counselor for students who were on probation at Missoula’s Youth and Drug Court, an alternative program supporting adolescents who have struggled to get their lives on track. In this position, she was able to influence students with her own passion for life and mentor them towards a positive future.

 

Wendy continued her career working with adolescent and young adults in a psychiatric hospital, juvenile detention, and group home settings. Now for the last decade, she then settled into a position working with young adults in residential transitions programs. Wendy is dedicated to helping guide and support young adults to become independent and to make healthy life choices.

 

Whether she is sea kayaking in the San Juans or skiing a mountain slope in Idaho, swimming with sharks in Belize, or mountain biking in the Cascades, Wendy continues to enjoy the challenges in working with young people. Wendy also enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter.
